You couldn’t tell who was happier to find

After seeking for so long —

him, or

you to be the One

You smiled when he smiled,

so Eager —

To celebrate

Uplift

Uphold

The unremarkable little details of your life

And

make them shine

and glisten and glow

for All the world to see.

But with every refraction, you wonder

When the truth became so unfamiliar

Unrecognizable

Untouchable yet untenable.

Blurred Beyond distinction

A mess in its pristine condition

The harder you look,

The more you want to

Look away —

To unfold the picture

From Reality

And find the meaning

in the Creases.

To Behold and

To Be Held are Two

Completely different

Things.
